Zonta International

Zonta International is a global organization established in 1919 in Buffalo, NY, to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy. Nearly 34,000 members belong to Zonta Clubs all over the world. The word "Zonta" means "honest and trustworthy" derived from the Lakhota (Teton Dakota) language of the Native-American Sioux peoples.

Zonta Club of Tokyo III was established in November 2000 and officially inaugurated in April 2001. It belongs to Area 1 of District 26. Although our club is still young and small, we actively commit to supporting women and children suffering from domestic violence.
